West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is celebrating 10 years of having Community Volunteers in the Service. 

Since the launch of the volunteer pilot scheme, the volunteers have completed more than 8,500 hours of activity.

Volunteers have supported the service with providing assistance at events, generating Safe and Well Visits and carrying out HeartStart first aid training.

The milestone is being celebrated during Volunteers Week, which takes place between 1-7 June.
