Half year financial results show strong passenger demand and encouraging air Traffic volumes at Gatwick Airport following the lifting of all UK travel restrictions in March 2022.
Passenger demand was at 74.3% of pre-pandemic levels for the second quarter, and 59.1% for the half year period.
Following this, Gatwick has revised its traffic forecasts for 2022 to 32.8m passengers as a result of the increase in the first half.
The airport however notes that continued macro-economic uncertainty – including inflation and passenger demand for the winter season may impact these forecasts.
