A Crawley man who used a samurai Sword to inflict injuries on members of the public has been sentenced.

33-year-old Ali Bhatti from Henderson Walk carried out the unprovoked attacks in October last year, while walking along Horsham Road.

Bhatti was convicted of attempted murder, grievous harm with intent, and possessing a bladed article in a public place.

He was given a section 37 hospital order and section 41 restriction order, under the mental health act.
