A  man from Crawley has been jailed for sexual offences against a young girl over 17 years following a Sussex Police investigation.

Roger Robison, jailed 69 year-old, Roger Robinson, was sentenced at Hove Crown Court on Monday, having been convicted in April of 14 counts of rape and four of indecent assault.

The offences were committed against the girl over many years from the 1990s onwards, from when she was a young child, into her adulthood.

Robinson was sentenced to a 22-year sentence, including 18 years in prison and four years on an extended-licence period.
