Crawley Life Saving Swimming Club

Ten members of Crawley Town Life Saving Club have recently won a total of 16 medals including four Gold’s at the 2022 World Lifesaving Championships.

The event, held in Riccione in Italy at the end of September, also saw the squad gain a Master’s World Record.

The Youth team won one gold, one silver and five bronze medals, placing them in 7th place, whilst The Open team made it to 8th place. The group’s oldest competitor, 85-year-old Maureen Fakley won a bronze medal.

The Life Saving Club train at the K2 Sports Centre every Tuesday evening from 8.00 to 10.00.
