Crawley MP Henry Smith has voiced his objections to development west of Ifield to the Communities Secretary of State, Simon Clarke.

It is as plans have been put forward for around 100,000 homes in the area.

Mr Smith says it will threaten natural habitats and put increased pressure on infrastructure.

Supporters say it will deliver much needed housing in the area.
