Tandridge District Council has been recognised for its support for local businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The council was awarded with the South East Region award at the All-England Federation of Small Businesses Local Government Awards.
There achievement included; financial support, encouraging resident to shop locally and helping with recruitment.
The Leader of the Council, Councillor Catherine Sayer, said “Thank you to the Federation of Small Businesses for this award. I’m really proud of how we’ve supported our businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The hard work and dedication of our officers, working with councillors and our many local partners, meant many businesses across the district could access vital financial grants and business support during a very difficult time.”
