Almost 7,000 households are set to receive £25 each from Crawley Borough Council by the end of this month.

The payment is being made from the Discretionary Energy Rebate Fund, which was undersubscribed when the application deadline passed.

Crawley Borough Council was given over £200,000 to grant £150 payments towards energy bills for those who were not eligible under the terms of the core energy rebate.

1,318 customers will receive a £25 credit on their Council Tax account. The remaining 5,646 will receive £25 in their bank account by 31 October.
