A woman sexually assaulted by a former Sussex Police Officer, has said she was failed by the police and the courts.

Lia Dumbril, was 16 year-old when she was assaulted by Dominic O’Brien while he was on bail for another sexual assault.

Lia told the BBC she was ‘sickened’ that O’Brien was able to get away with it for so long.

The former Sussex Police detective inspector, 55, was convicted of four counts of sexual assault against her.
