Several community centres in Crawley could be opened as warm hubs to help residents who are looking at ways to reduce their bills.
Crawley Borough Council will discuss the setting up of six Winter Warmers in the borough at its meeting next week. Visitors to Winter Warmers will be able to spend time in a heated location with access to hot drinks.
Meanwhile several warm hubs have already opened in the Tandridge district where residents can get warm, meet others and receive free energy saving advice.
New venues are opening all the time but current sites include the Oxted, Caterham and Warlingham libraries, and several churches in the Lingfield and Dormansland area.
