Ten Surrey bus operators are offering cheaper fares capped at £2 for single journeys from now until the end of March.
The scheme is funded by the government to help 03ease cost of living pressures over the winter.
Operators taking part in the fare cap scheme include Compass, Metrobus, Southdown, and East Surrey Rural Transport Partnership. Metrobus, which also runs services in Sussex, says passengers can expect to make big savings from longer journeys; for example the 270 route from East Grinstead to Brighton which usually costs £7, will be capped at £2 until the scheme ends on the 31st of March.
