Work begins today, to replace the lighting in the A23 tunnel under Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal.
The current lighting installation is almost 15 years old. The new system will use LED lights which won’t need to be changed as regularly as the current lamps, and can be accessed remotely to rectify any faults.
One southbound lane will be closed from now until the 2nd July during the first phase of the work. The work should be completed by the middle of July.
