Traffic flow on the East Surrey Hospital site should improve after a new access road has opened.
Around 12,000 visitors’ cars come to the site each week.
The road takes people round the back of the hospital, through to the main staff and visitor car parks. It’s hoped that the new access road will reduce traffic delays into the hospital for those travelling from the Redhill Aerodrome end through Mason’s Bridge Road; they will be able to turn off into Canada Drive before the roundabout where most of the traffic from the A23 comes in.
A new car park was opened on the site last month with over 350 more spaces for both staff and visitors.
