In League 2, Crawley Town slipped to their first defeat of the season losing 1-0 against Gillingham at the Broadfield Stadium on Saturday.

In the National League, Dorking Wanderers were consigned to a second straight defeat on the road following their 3-0 defeat by Solihull Moors.

Some of our local teams played their FA Cup Preliminary Round ties on Saturday.  After a 1-1 draw for South Park against Leatherhead, there will be a replay tomorrow evening at Fetcham Grove.  Merstham are out of the Cup after losing 2-1 away to Faversham Town. 

It was a star studded weekend for Horley Town; their FA Cup match was shown live on BBC iplayer with none other than Stormzy arriving at the New Defence to celebrate with the opposition AFC Croydon in their 1-0 victory over Horley.  Horley Town then hosted a charity celebrity football match yesterday with ‘Sellebrity Soccer’ in aid of Crawley Open House and St Catherine’s Hospice.   sellebritysoccer.org.uk
