A new, on demand bus service has started to expand into five Surrey towns as part of a sustainable travel push.

Surrey Connect is using series of accessible mini buses will travel across parts of the county, including Tandridge.

The county council says it is funding the scheme, which allows travellers to book the service anytime – rather than operating on a traditional timetable.

Bookings for a journey can be made online with just 30 minutes notice, or up to seven days ahead.

All fares will vary, depending on how many miles are travelled, starting from £2 for adults.
