East Surrey Hospital’s maternity unit has reinstated the use of Entonox, or gas and air, for pain relief. 

The use of Entonox had been suspended for over two months for the safety of hospital staff due to issues with ventilation in the maternity unit. 

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust says it now has the equipment in place to make Entonox available; the Trust reinstated its use on Friday.
