The owner of an unauthorised caravan site near Oxted has been prosecuted.
On Thursday, Michael Moloney pleaded guilty to contraventions under the Town and Planning Act. He was fined over £2,000 for breaching the Stop Notices and ordered to pay costs to Tandridge District Council and to the victim support fund.
Last December, several caravans owned by Mr Moloney moved onto the site in Tanhouse Road and work began to lay hard surfacing and install drainage to connect to utility supplies.
The Council will now request Mr Moloney agrees a date for the occupants and mobile homes to leave the site.
