Sussex Police have seized a large quantity of weapons and made several arrests as they combat knife crime in the county.
Operation Sceptre which took place between the 13th and 19th November saw 19 knives removed following arrests, with a further 1352 handed in from members of the public during the week long amnesty.
Police & Crime Commissioner for Sussex Katy Bourne said: “With these having been removed from our county’s streets through various proactive methods including the use of amnesty bins, it’s clear that this week of intensification was much needed.
