Banstead Library has launched a new Magic Table for Adults with Dementia and those with learning disabilities.
The Tovertafel or Magic Table is an innovation from the Netherlands where a ceiling mounted projector shows light games onto a standard table surface. The games are interactive and can be played by a group of people to encourage social contact and movement. The Tovertafel is free to use.
Banstead Library was chosen as the location for the table as part of a working group to make Banstead a dementia friendly village.
