West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are calling on budding artists to help turn decommissioned fire helmets into things of beauty.

 

Those with a creative flair are encouraged to submit unique ideas for a new charity art project.

 

25 winning designs will then be painted onto the helmets and auctioned off, with proceeds going to The Fire Fighters Charity.

 

All the fire helmets have previously been worn by firefighters and used at operational incidents.
