Sussex Partnership has a diverse nursing workforce providing a valuable breadth of knowledge, skills and perspectives. It currently employs around 1500 nurses and 500 healthcare support workers.

The new plan was developed collaboratively a wide range of staff working across the Trust and reflects what they said was important to them. Consultation groups were also held with other key stakeholders including service users, families and carers.

Teresa Barker, Sussex Partnership’s Chief Nursing Officer, said: “It has been a privilege to develop this plan with our nursing staff. It sets out our goals, our values and our commitment to deliver safe and high-quality care to our patients and service users. It focuses on the importance of learning, development and career progression and describes why Sussex Partnership is a great place to be a nursing professional.”
