Thousands of commuters were left in limbo yesterday as they became affected with strike action by train drivers in the Aslef union.
It is part of a rolling series of strikes across several operators which began on Saturday.
A limited service ran on Great Western’s North Downs Line, linking, Dorking, Redhill and Gatwick. While drivers at Southern and Gatwick Express took part in the strike action.
Aslef rejected a pay offer last year, which would have seen a 4% pay rise two years in a row.
Passengers were advised to only travel if absolutely necessary.
