Residents in Crawley are opposing to a cut in opening hours at an urgent care centre.
The once 24-hour Urgent Treatment Centre at the hospital has now been changed to only open from 7.30am to 10pm as part of a pilot scheme by the NHS who want to ensure “safe staffing levels”.
Anyone needing overnight help are being advised to use the NHS 111, or attend emergency departments for life saving care, such as the East Surrey Hospital at Redhill.
Residents have been voicing their concerns over the additional length of time it may take to travel to alternative centres, which could influence any treatment required.
