Further Funding for Safer Redhill Partnership

The Safer Redhill Partnership has received further funding of £1,000,000 from the Home Office. The ‘hotspot’ funding will allow police to maintain uniformed patrols in the town and take strong action where needed.

Funds of £265,000 were awarded last Autumn to the Safer Redhill Partnership from the government’s Safer Streets fund; this saw the launch of the YMCA’s Y Bus for targeted youth outreach work and additional lighting in Memorial Park.

A new campaign, expanding on a trial during the summer, encourages local people to be part of the solution for tackling anti social behaviour by reporting it.  From this month, the campaign can be seen on posters, banners and digi screens throughout the town centre.
