West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service is teaming up with Crawley Town FC next week to help young people stay safe on the road.
Around 30 young people aged 16 to 17 will be visiting Crawley Fire Station next Wednesday morning (October 28) to hear about the importance of road safety and their responsibilities as both passengers and drivers.
The group will have the chance to chat informally to firefighters about their experiences attending road traffic collisions and watch the crew demonstrate their rescue skills.
The event will also give the teenagers the opportunity to try out a driving simulator while wearing ‘beer’ goggles, which mimic the effect of being under the influence of alcohol.
