Police in Crawley have arrested five people in connection with a number of burglaries.

On Wednesday (28 October) at around 1:15am officers were called to Hazelwick Road, Crawley to a report that garages had been broken into. They attended a similar incident in Cherry Lane, half an hour later.

A silver Ford Mondeo was seen driving away from the area it was later found in Juniper Road. A 16-year-old boy and two 19-year-old men, all from Crawley, and a 17-year old girl from East Grinstead were subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Following a search of another garage in The Dingle, Crawley, a 63-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

All five have been bailed until 29 January 2016.
