Safeguarding detectives have been called in to investigate a care assistant from Horsham.

The 33 year-old man has appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court charged with engaging in sexual activity with a woman resident in her thirties.

The incident at the Sussex Health Care home for young adults in Guildford Road, Clemsfold is reported to have occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.

The care assistant has been given conditional court bail until December.
