For the first time in two years, applications are open for the role of police constable with Sussex Police.
Chief Constable Giles York said he plans to recruit at least 70 new officers this year and wants a workforce who represents the diverse communities across Sussex. The recruitment comes after the Police and Crime Commissioner’s discussion with the Police and Crime Panel, to agree a rise in the amount people pay for policing.
The application window for police constables will remain open until midnight on Sunday 13th March.
Applicants must be aged 18 and over, have lived in the UK for three continuous years prior to application, and possess a full UK manual driving licence.
