Crawley Borough Council will invest almost £160 million in the town over the next three years.
The investment forms part of the council’s budget for 2016 to 17 which was agreed by Full Council on Wednesday.
The figure includes £119.2 million to build affordable housing and improve the council’s existing homes.
There are also plans to expand the gym at K2 and to invest in Tilgate Park and Tilgate Nature Centre including the creation of an outdoor performance area as well as new animals and attractions.
