A driver was the victim of road rage in East Grinstead on Wednesday afternoon. (2 March)

At around 5:30pm, a white VW Golf is reported to have come out of the Esso garage in Station Road and forced its way in front of a blue Toyota Celica, causing it to have to brake hard.

The Golf driver then allegedly approached the Celica, slammed the bonnet and bent a windscreen wiper before opening and slamming the victim’s door shut.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged around 30, and stocky with black hair.
