There are likely to be traffic delays in Horley from next Monday (July 4th) due to the next phase of water main replacement.

Sutton and East Surrey Water will begin the next phase of works to replace ageing mains in Victoria Road, Horley.

The works are scheduled to start at the junction of Kings Road, progressing towards the junction of Massetts Road.

This first phase of works will involve connecting supplies to an existing, larger diameter, water main and will require the use of two and three-way temporary traffic lights.

The second phase is due to begin week commencing 25 July, when work will begin laying approximately 140 metres of new pipe between the junctions of Massetts Road and Consort Way East.

Due to the nature of the work, this section of road will be closed for approximately six weeks and a signed diversion route will be in place throughout the closure.

Shops and businesses in the area will remain open as normal throughout the works.
