More than £1,200 has been raised for charity in an attempted record-breaking ladder climb and pole-drop.
12 trainee firefighters took on the challenge in Horsham to set a record for the furthest vertical distance travelled up a ladder and down a firefighter’s pole in one hour.
The recruits managed a combined total of 9,020 metres in 60 minutes, which was not enough to break official records.
Money raised is going to The Fire Fighters Charity, the Golden Lion Children’s Trust and the Keep Connor Active appeal.
