Several people were injured after two cars were involved in a collision in Southwater, near Horsham on Friday evening (21 October).
The accident on the A24 occurred around eight o’clock.
A blue Vauxhall Astra travelling southbound lost control and overturned, causing debris to collide with a blue Citroen C4 travelling in the opposite direction.
Both the northbound and the southbound carriageways were closed for several hours while the vehicles were recovered and the scene made safe.
All five casualties – three people from the Vauxhall and two from the Citroen – were taken to hospital for treatment.
