Many Southern Rail season ticket holders say they’re still waiting for compensation promised to them before Christmas.

The train operator says it’s nearly finished contacting 40,000 people, but says there could be nearly double that number registering online next week when their dedicated site opens.

The Government said in December one-off payments worth up to a month of free travel could be claimed to make up for the recent disruption.
