Tandridge District Council has reminded residents to make sure they are ready to vote in the General Election tomorrow.
Residents are advised to vote in time; polling stations are open from 7 am until 10 pm. Details of the polling station to attend are given on the poll cards. Postal votes need to be returned by 10 pm tomorrow. For those who have appointed a proxy, they need to be sure they can vote at the correct polling station on the individual’s behalf.
The Council also advises that in some cases an emergency proxy can be appointed. This can occur for those with a medical emergency which prevents them from attending on the day, or for those whose employment suddenly prevents them from attending. It is possible to apply for an emergency proxy up to 5 pm on polling day.
