For the first time in its’ history, Worth Park has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag.
The Award Scheme is handed out by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy to recognise and reward the best green spaces in the country.
Worth Park was laid out in the 1880s by Victorian garden designers Pulham and Son, and has recently been restored to its former glory by Crawley Borough Council, thanks to a £2.42 million Heritage Lottery-funded grant.
The Green Flag award is yet another celebration for Worth Park which has also received the Heritage Accrediation.
Worth Park joins Tilgate Park, Goffs Park and Memorial Gardens as Green Flag holders in Crawley.
