Work will begin today to demolish the gas holder in Oxted.
A crane will arrive on the site at the end of the month for workers to access the top of the frame. The frame of the gas holder will be dismantled piece by piece with the debris contained and collected from within the gas holder. The demolition is expected to be complete around May this year.
Permission has been granted to build 111 apartments on the site with landscaping and car parking. The site will be accessed from the entrance on Station Road East opposite Boots.
