Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, the Trust which runs East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
The team of CQC inspectors who recently visited the NHS Trust inspected five core areas of patient care. The safe and effective categories were rated ‘good’. The caring, well-led and responsive categories were rated ‘outstanding’. These combined resulted in an overall rating of ‘outstanding’ for the Trust which was an increase from the previous ‘good’ rating given to SASH by the CQC in 2014.
