A three quarter of a million pound refurbishment of Horley High Street’s pedestrian precinct begins today.
The six-month project includes resurfacing the pedestrianised Princess Precinct between Victoria Road and Albert Road. There are also plans for new lighting, seating and planters, improved drainage and new loading bays for deliveries. It will also improve accessibility with level surfacing and safer crossing points. Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Surrey County Council are working in partnership to deliver the project.
Works will take place from 7.30am-6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 6pm on Saturdays. Some night work may also be required, and at times, temporary traffic lights will be needed on Albert Road and Victoria Road.
