A fire broke out at a Crawley car showroom on Saturday.
Assisted by crews from Surrey, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident at the Tesla car showroom in County Oak Way at around 10.30 am. At its height, eight fire engines assisted in tackling the fire. An aerial ladder platform was also used.
The fire service was on the scene within four minutes and found a rapidly spreading fire. It was brought under control and the incident was scaled back around midday. Crews managed to contain the damage to the building to 25% with a further 25% being damaged by heat and smoke.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but is not thought to have been caused by Tesla cars, chargers or batteries.
