As the Alzheimer’s Society launches Dementia Action Week today, Oxted businesses are working with their staff to raise greater understanding of the condition.  

Many shops and organisations in the town are ensuring their staff can better support residents with dementia, with many becoming Dementia Friends.

Making small changes in their day to day interactions can encourage people with dementia to maintain independence and to prevent them from becoming socially isolated.
