A man has been convicted of a violent attack on a teenager.

Neil Scott -O’Connor was found guilty of previous offences including against a 29-year old from Crawley, one of attempted strangulation with intent to commit a sex offence and two of causing actual bodily harm. Officers first became aware of his activities when a 17-year-old woman from Crawley came forward.

O’Connor who was found guilty yesterday at Hove Crown Court is to be given his sentence at the start of next year.
