Rail passengers are urged to check their train times before they travel as a new winter timetable came into effect yesterday.

The most notable changes in the Susy Radio area are on Saturdays with additional direct Thameslink services to St Pancras International and beyond for East Croydon, Redhill, Horley and Gatwick Airport.  For the first time there will be new direct Thameslink services to the centre of London and St Pancras International for Coulsdon South, Merstham, Crawley, Ifield and Horsham.

Southern Railway and Thameslink say that most train times remain unchanged but passengers are asked to check online journey planners.
