More than £20,000,000 will be invested in West Sussex’s digital infrastructure to deliver gigabit-capable broadband.
The funding for several full fibre projects was agreed yesterday by West Sussex County Council’s cabinet. The schemes will be financed from the Business Rates funding pool. The Council is developing their approaches with commercial suppliers and the The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
Yesterday’s funding agreement includes building on the initiative for new gigabit-capable services to key public sector sites, including those in Crawley and Horsham.
