Plans for West Sussex’s first firefighter training centre and combined fire station have been revealed.
West Sussex County Council is proposing the £21,000,000 development for land off the A24 at Highwood Mill near Horsham. The 24-hour fire station will incorporate best practice around firefighters’ health and wellbeing. The learning and development centre will include residential accommodation for firefighter training. In addition to various training rooms, there will be three ancillary buildings to assist in the delivery of real-life scenarios.
A public exhibition to showcase the proposals will take place from the 4th to the 11th March at Horsham Library.
