Two events focusing on gender equality in the workplace, took place in Sussex last week to coincide with International Women’s Day.
Sussex Police welcomed more than a hundred people to its first Women in Policing careers event in Crawley. Attendees met with staff and officers to find out first hand what it’s like to work for the force and the variety of roles available.
The event was aimed mainly at women but was open to a cross-section of those interested in a career in policing.
Gatwick Airport hosted a gender diversity in aviation conference. The conference was to help industry-wide efforts at making aviation more gender balanced.
Gatwick partnered Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter for the event which looked at personal development, sharing best practice and working towards gender balance. Eleven speakers from Gatwick, the CAA and other industry leading companies spoke at the event.
