West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service has appointed an Assistant Chief Fire Officer.

Jon Lacey, was appointed following a rigorous recruitment process. He has been the fire service’s Acting ACFO for the past three months

Mr Lacey has over 26 years’ experience in a range of roles and started his career as retained firefighter at Haywards Heath Fire Station.

Chief Fire Officer Sabrina Cohen-Hatton, said she was delighted with the news.
