Sussex’s emergency services support county’s communities during Coronavirus crisis

Sussex’s emergency services are putting together an unprecedented effort to support the county’s communities during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Yesterday, the Sussex Resilience Force, which is a multi-agency partnership of emergency services, local authorities and other agencies, said it is working closely with the military and NHS to co-ordinate the local response.

Key areas of focus so far have been co-ordinating the volunteer effort in the county, getting additional supplies of PPE and protecting Sussex’s most vulnerable.

Last month, Surrey’s Local Resilience Forum announced it is treating the pandemic as a major incident.
