Crawleys MP is urging the chancellor to extend furlough for aviation, travel and tourism workers.

Henry Smith has led a group of cross-party MPs in writing to the Chancellor of the Exchequer urging him to agree a customised and flexible extension to the furlough scheme for these sectors as they will take longer than other industries to recover. 

Smith has described cutting off the support before these sectors have been able to recover will have disastrous consequences for everyone in the country.
