Surrey libraries will start to reopen from next Monday.
Dorking, Redhill, Horley and Oxted libraries are among the first to reopen. The county’s libraries closed on 20th March prior to the Coronavirus lockdown. They will operate in a different way with a reduced service; customers won’t be able to use public computers or study spaces.
Despite the buildings being closed, Surrey libraries have seen an increase in membership with numbers up 110% compared to a similar period last year, with many making use of e-books and audio books.
